Delete your Jawla 2v2 account

This page explains how to delete your account for Jawla 2v2 (com.malifund.jawla), published by Mali Fund, and exactly what happens when you do.

If you never created an account, there is nothing on our servers to delete: everything is on your phone, and deleting the app removes it.

In the app

  1. Open Jawla 2v2 and go to the Friends tab.
  2. Tap the gear in the top corner to open Settings.
  3. Tap Delete account.
  4. Enter your password to confirm.

That is the last step. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

What is deleted permanently

  • Your sign-in — email address and password. You cannot sign in again.
  • Your display name, your @handle and your photo.
  • Your list of players, and your place on everybody else’s.
  • The copy of your data on the device you delete from.

What is kept, under a label that names nobody

The matches you played, and their scores. They are equally the record of the three other people who were on court, so removing them would rewrite somebody else’s history. Your name is replaced by a marker that cannot be traced to you.

Coming back later means starting fresh: a new account, with no history.

If you cannot get into the app

If you have forgotten your password, use Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen first — the deletion needs it.

If you cannot sign in at all, email info@malifund.com with the subject Delete my account, from the address the account uses.

We then reply to the address held on the account asking you to confirm, and the deletion starts only after you answer that reply. The second step is the one that protects you: the sender address on an email can be forged, so a request on its own is not proof of who sent it. Once you confirm, the account is deleted within 30 days and we write back when it is done.

No other information is needed — do not include your password.

Removing the app is not the same thing

Deleting Jawla 2v2 from your phone removes that device’s copy. Your account and the shared history stay until you delete the account itself. What we hold, and why, is set out in the privacy policy.
